An Important Announcement for the Community
Sobriety Centers of New Hampshire has decided to voluntarily close as of June 21, 2026. Our focus during this transition is supporting patients and staff while ensuring continuity of care and a safe, orderly wind-down of operations.
Sobriety Centers of New Hampshire (SCNH) and Recovery Mountain have made the difficult decision to voluntarily close both facilities, with operations expected to conclude on June 21, 2026.
After carefully reviewing the evolving needs and preferences of the patients we serve, we determined this was the most responsible path forward. This decision was made thoughtfully and with deep appreciation for the care these programs have provided to individuals and families throughout the community.
“This was a difficult decision and not one made lightly,” said Eric Kennedy, Interim CEO of Sobriety Centers of New Hampshire and Recovery Mountain. “These facilities have provided meaningful, quality care, and we are deeply grateful to our team for their dedication and compassion. Our focus now is on ensuring that patients continue to receive safe, appropriate care and that our employees are supported throughout this transition.”
What This Means Right Now
To support a smooth and orderly wind-down of operations, the facilities are no longer accepting new patients. Current patients are expected to complete treatment prior to the closure date whenever appropriate. If continued care or a transfer becomes necessary, our team will work closely with each individual, their loved ones, and referral partners to coordinate appropriate next steps and maintain continuity of care.
Health Records
As part of the closure process, health records will be securely maintained and transitioned in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Individuals who would like to request copies of medical records or who have questions regarding access to records may contact: records@sobrietycentersofnh.com
A team member will provide assistance and explain the next steps. Protecting patient privacy and confidentiality remains a top priority throughout this process.
Supporting Employees
Employees will continue to receive support throughout the transition, including access to Human Resources, Employee Assistance Program resources, and continued pay in accordance with federal requirements.
Our Commitment to the Community
We understand this news may raise questions or concerns for patients, families, employees, and community partners. Throughout this transition, we remain committed to clear communication, thoughtful coordination, and ensuring continuity of care.
“We remain committed to the individuals and families we serve and to supporting them through this process,” Kennedy added.
We are grateful to the patients, families, employees, and community partners who have trusted Sobriety Centers of New Hampshire and Recovery Mountain over the years. It has been our privilege to support individuals on their recovery journey, and we remain focused on helping ensure a safe and compassionate transition for all those affected.
