Sobriety Centers of New Hampshire and Recovery Mountain Announce Closure

Antrim and Tilton, NH – April 22, 2026 — Sobriety Centers of New Hampshire (SCNH) and Recovery Mountain have announced that both facilities will close, with operations expected to conclude on June 21, 2026.

The decision follows a thorough and thoughtful review of operations and the evolving needs and preferences of the patients served.

“This was a difficult decision and not one made lightly,” said Eric Kennedy, Interim CEO of Sobriety Centers of New Hampshire and Recovery Mountain. “These facilities have provided meaningful, quality care, and we are deeply grateful to our team for their dedication and compassion. Our focus now is on ensuring that patients continue to receive safe, appropriate care and that our employees are supported throughout this transition.”

To minimize disruption, the facilities have stopped accepting new patients. If patients choose to transfer to another facility, or require continued care following closure, we will coordinate closely with local healthcare providers and referral partners to arrange timely transitions. Each patient’s plan will be managed on an individual basis, with a continued emphasis on continuity of care and patient safety.

Employees will be supported through the transition with access to Human Resources, Employee Assistance Program resources, and continued pay in accordance with federal requirements.

“Our priority is to ensure a smooth and responsible transition for patients, employees, and the community,” Kennedy added. “We remain committed to the individuals and families we serve and to supporting them through this process.”
